She Who Must Be Obeyed

Damn it! I just wrote a rather long blog entry, and blogger died while posting it. Ah well, it's not like it's important or anything.

I had previously forgotten; I wanted to come up with an appropriate term for The Wife. I think I'll borrow Neil Boortz's term "She Who Must Be Obeyed", or SWMBO.

Anyhow, I was talking about SWMBO's frugality. She will do just about anything to save a few dollars. Obviously, it does not help the situation that I just got laid off from my lucrative position. This time, it's about the paint. We are in the middle of selling our old house and getting the new house ready to move in, so we are doing a lot of painting. SWMBO's method for saving money and getting the right shade of paint is to go to Home Depot and buy all of their "oops" cans. These are paints that they messed up on (made the wrong color, typically). Then She will mix the different colors until she comes up with a shade that She likes.
